The time has come. I've finally reached my half-way mark of the 20+ in age. Soon I'll cross that mark and I'll reach my 30s!! Oh no! Too many of my past resolutions not met. Still no boyfriend, still not married, still cant drive, still cant play guitar (actually I gave up on guitar sometime ago cos my fingers too short), still no house, still no million dollars, still haven't start going for my piano lessons again........................... =(

Anyway, this year's birthday was full of surprises. I think it all started with this apple tree in my class. So everyone has to put this apple on with their baby photos and write down the things they like, and if they want, their birthdates. So I did too, and it resulted in so many birthday celebrations for me...so pai seh...Sigh

So my choir started first last Friday, cos sec 3s won't be around on monday, supposed to be a surprise, but some smart boy leak out and then I managed to gather clues when every choir member I saw that day was like, miss ng, today 2.30 choir right?? (when the usual is 3). And then my chair-woman was holding that canadian pizza receipt and walking in front of me, obviously I'm not stupid right? But these kids are really amusing. After one whole year, they still remember vividly the incident that happen in KL, when I screamed my head off when a boy took away my packet of biscuits without asking me. They bought me FOUR whole packs of that biscuit. I'm going to take months to finish those. But I was so happy, more of amused, when I opened that present that I was hugging that present and laughing non-stop in the middle of the canteen. Thank You my dears.

Saturday went for dinner with family, then went to that extremely crowded Chinatown to 'experience' the festive joy. It was so #@!*&# packed.

Then yesterday, my science class sang birthday song for me in class, and my form class gave me a 'surprise' birthday party. Why 'surprise', because once again, some smart people leak out secret again lor. Then they say go market eat lunch, but they’ll come look for me in staff room. So they played a prank on me, with two boys running to tell me that a girl fell down while trying to decorate the classroom. Gave me a shock at first, but from far I say the candlelight through the glass panels, I realised it was a trick. The boys opened the door, and the kids inside had poppers. Luckily I hide behind the door...

So, today, later, there'll be another one, with my sec 4 students. The strange things about these kids I didn't know how exactly we got so close. I never really taught them at all. I was their teacher for half a year when I first join the school, but it was always the co-teacher teaching. Then I didn't teach them at all after they went to upper sec. But then we somehow got closer and closer. But they're really a lovely bunch. So cut cake again and maybe go out...dunno what's their plan yet.

Last round, saturday, from my 'family'. Another bunch whom we have this very strange affinity. Started off with bringing them to KL to take part in a conference. Was unwillingly volunteered at first, but after interacting with the kids, I was so glad I was going, and after the first day there, I wished we never had to come back. They are really a fun bunch. So from there I 'adopted' a number of children, and we go out sometimes. But these people very not consistent one...One was saying, 'niang, we have surprise for you on saturday'. Another one was saying, 'huh? we where got celebrate your birthday? only going out wat?'
