The June Holidays are finally over. My friends are rejoicing over not having to see teenagers on the streets everyday anymore, at least for 5 to 6 more months. Which also means back to school I'll be!!
Choir practices have began again, and we received a last minute notice to sing a new piece, which means we have only two practices to practise that before our first Arts Nite rehearsal in school. And tat two practices meant friday and yesterday (saturday). The saturday practice is added last minute, or else it would have to be monday, and that would mean I have to see my choir, and they have to see me from monday to saturday for consecutive six days!!! NO MAN!!
My june hols were busy. Met up with old friends at Settler's Cafe and received yet another red bomb. People around me are getting married... sigh... 4 red bombs within 3 months... not tat i'm complaining... but... sigh...
My parents still trying to get a HDB flat, cos the condo is rather small, though I really liked the thought of having a swimming pool at our doorstep, and the unblocked view just out of my room's window such tat I can even see Suntec City at night and even fireworks during NDP. So they're busy 'shopping' for houses, while I'm still busy thinking of how to best use that new room of mine.
Of course, not forgetting the PC fair and book fairs at the beginning of the month. Just in tat week, I learnt something. There are tonnes and tonnes of people who do not hold 9 to 5 jobs, such that there are still millions of people, on the WEEKDAY afternoon, walking in and out of the fairs! How can this be! I know it's school hols, but the people I see are NOT students! Anyway, my sis and I still managed to get our new printers and our new PCs, which are now sitting nicely on our tables. Not forgetting the books tat we bought at the book fair.. I bought a whole set of PEANUTS comics for just $30!! HAHAHA...
Oh yes, the new school. While the world is going green, our school looks bare enough. Nice school, full of new facilities, but too concrete. The new staffroom is nice. It's huge, yet cosy, cos you just need to stand up and you can see the entire staffroom. All the teachers are in the staffroom now, but the DnT teachers are still in using the room near the workshop. Went through yet another process of throwing things. Bearing in mind that I already threw almost one third of my things during packing, and yet I'm throwing somemore during UNpacking. My colleagues were so curious tat they asked me how come I have so much things? I've only been teaching for 2 years! Then I even collected the used boxes tat are still in good condition and got my sis and cousin in law to come to my school to help move the used boxes back home... yeah.
So, tomorrow's the first day of school. I'm going to have a hard time waking up early... sigh...
